Navigating the Rule of Law in a Globalized World
On September 8, 2023, PKU Law hosted the third International Rule of Law Forum, which is co-sponsored by the international law firm Jones Day. Under the theme " Rule of Law in the Global Context ," the forum delved into the cutting edge of legal theory and practice through a global lens. Jiang Bixin，Vice President of the China Law Society and former Vice President and Grand Justice of the Second Rank of the PRC Supreme People's Court，Sir Henry Denis Litton, GBM and former Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal and Non-Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, PRC，and Quentin Loh Sze-On，Senior Judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore offered diverse perspectives on foundational concepts of the rule of law as well as the rule of law in the Age of AI.
This dynamic exchange illuminated intricate legal landscapes and sparked insightful discussions, leaving participants with a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by globalization in the legal sphere.
