Peking University Law Team among to Global Top 16 at the 67th Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

From March 28 to April 4, 2026, the Peking University Law School team competed at the 67th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., emerging as the only Chinese team to advance to the global Top 16 among a record 806 participating teams from nearly 100 jurisdictions. The team first won the China National Round with a perfect 10-0 victory, then placed 6th overall in the international preliminary rounds, a new team record, before advancing through elimination rounds to the Top 16. Oralists Lü Yizhou and Yu Xiaohan were named among the Global Top 50 and Global Top 100 advocates respectively.
This marks Peking University's third Top 16 finish since first representing China in 1989, and underscores the Law School's commitment to cultivating internationally competitive legal talent capable of engaging at the highest levels of global legal practice.
