In the afternoon of Dec. 21, the 2008 New Year’s Return Party of Peking University Law School was opened in China World Hotel. Dean 
Zhu Suli, Secretary Zhang Shouwen of the Party Committee, Executive Assistant Dean Li Ming, and Assistant Deans Shen Kui, Gong Wendong, 
renowned lawyers Yue Cheng and Chen Wen, etc. attended the event. The host was Jin Jinping, a teacher of Peking University Law School.

The New Year's Return Party is an annual event of Peking University Law School, people from various fields of society who have assisted 
or supported the school in the past year are invited to the party with teachers and students of the school, sharing our achievements of 
the year. It is an expression of thanks from both the entire staff and student to the society.

At 4:30 p.m. the party began. Firstly, the guests were shown a series of slides introducing the development and achievement of Peking 
University Law School in recent years. Next, Dean Zhu Suli gave the speech. He pointed out that the school had made evident achievement 
in recent years, and in the next few years, the development would be further expedited. All the development and achievements of the school 
are inseparable with the support and assistance from all the friends in the society, and he liked to take this opportunity to express his 
gratitude. After that, Assistant Dean Gong Wendong introduced the new achievements and development in 2007 along with the slides. Among the 
guests, Chen Wen, a partner of Zhonglun W&D Law Firm, and Lu Xiaoxuan, an undergraduate of 05’ class also gave speeches. Then the guests 
were engaged in free talks accompanied by relaxing music.

In the past year, all the development and achievements of Peking University Law School are inseparable with the support and assistance from 
all the friends in the society, the New Year’s Return Party expressed our gratitude towards friends from all walks of life at a year’s end, 
and also setting a new starting point in the coming year..
