Theme: Victoria and Us: How to think about the History of International Law
Introduction of Professor MarttiKoskenniemi: Professor for Finland academy of sciences, Professor for law school of University of Helsinki, Finland, Director of the Institute of Eric Custer International Law and Human Rights, Academician for International Law Research Institute.One of the most influential International Law scholars. Served as the administrative court judge in Asian Development Bank (1997-2002), member of the UN International Law Commission (2002-2006) and so on. Also served as adjunct professor at New York University, the University of Melbourne, Cambridge University and so on. His research field mainly includes the basic theory of International Law and history of International Law. Representative works include "The From credo to Utopia" (Cambridge University Press, 2005), "The Gentle Civilizer of Nations" (Cambridge University Press, 2001).
