The 17th Academic Salon of Law School Held

On April 10, the 17th Academic Salon of Law School was successfully hold in KoGuan Building. This salon’s theme is Simulating Housing Demolition of Old Cities and the Salon was conducted by Chen Ruoying.


Firstly, Chen discussed the problem of negotiation mechanism between officer and citizens. Then, she explained various problems which caused by the demolition and discussed the confliction between private property and the public will. Besides, she emphasized the important role of the government in the demolition process.


Then, the participators discussed the problems including the success rate of the simulating housing demolition, the due process of demolition processthe negotiation dilemma and so on. Professor Peng Bing, Jin Jinping, Tang Yingmao, Meng Hou, Xue Jun, Che Hao, Yang Ming, Chen Yifeng participated in the discussion. Chen Ruoying then answered their questions.

Participators did some research on problems of current system of demolition policies and put forward some solutions of promoting the optimization of demolition mode which would contribute to China’s urbanization.
