The Advanced Seminar on Interpretation of new Data Compliance regulations of Peking University started as scheduled

 

On November 1, 2021, Peking University's Advanced Seminar on Interpretation of New Regulations on Data Compliance was launched as scheduled, with hundreds of participants participating in the course.

On November 1, Professor Zhang Ping instructed the "Interpretation of the Intellectual Property Clause of E-commerce Law", focusing on the obligations of e-commerce platform operators, giving in-depth explanation on how the platform should standardize data processing activities and economic order, fully protect the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations.

On November 2, Professor Xue Jun instructed the "Interpretation on Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Online Trading", in which he made a judgment on the legality of new business models, and explained in detail how to regulate online trading activities, maintain the online trading order and guarantee the rights of the parties to online trading.

On November 3, Yang Jie's "Interpretation of the Legislative Background and Key Points of the Personal Information Protection Law", set out an in-depth explanation on how to implement subjects' responsibilities for algorithm security and regulate the recommendation of internet information service algorithms so as to safeguard national security and social public interests, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations.

On November 4, Professor Wang Xixin's "Interpretation to the Personal Information Protection Law" started from the era features of cyberspace data governance, focused on balancing the conflicts between industrial development and Personal Information protection, the standardization and inevitability of the utilization of data information, and other issues.

"Analysis of Automobile Data Regulatory Framework and Compliance Key Points" published by Cai Kemeng on November 5th, focusing on the difficulties and challenges of Automobile Data compliance, discussing how to balance Automobile Data development and utilization, protection of personal information rights, ensuring vehicle and road traffic safety, and maintaining national data security.

"Key Points on Data Compliance in Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Market Projects" published by Fu Peng on November 6th, focused on the complex consideration and application of the rules and regulatory requirements in the capital market, and the document processing for investment and M&A transactions.

On November 7, Xue Qiang instructed “The Antitrust Regulatory Framework, Typical Cases and Law Enforcement Trend of Platform Economy”, introduced the development history of the platform antitrust, analyzed the trend of legislation and law enforcement abroad, discussed the relevant regulations and typical cases of Antitrust Law and Antitrust Guidelines in the Field of Platform Economy.

As of November 7, all seven courses of the seminar have been online and are open to students.  The course adopts the way of network learning, breaking the boundaries of time and space, convenient for students to arrange their own time to learn repeatedly.  At present, we are still recruiting members.
