DEAN'S MESSAGE

Dear colleagues and friends,

Warm greetings from Beijing!
Effective February 2023, I have assumed the role as the new Dean of Peking University Law School. I am deeply humbled by the responsibility with which our community entrusts me.
Peking University Law School is the flagship institution of China’s legal education. Under the leadership of former Dean PAN Jianfeng, our law school has effectively navigated some of the most difficult waters for maintaining ties and expanding collaborations with international partners during the pandemic. My colleagues and I are now fully committed to the mission of building our law school into a globalized institution for education, innovation, and leadership. Despite all challenges we have confronted or will confront with in the future, we firmly believe that legal education must always play a significant role in fostering mutual understanding among people and bringing the world closer together.
As part of the efforts for further expanding our global outreach, we are now launching  our English-language e-newsletter project, "PKU Law in Focus." In these periodically distributed e-newsletters you will find stories about student achievements, faculty research, international exchanges, and more taking place on our campus. With the e-newsletters we hope to more effectively share with our international partners and friends progress and endeavors on our end about which we are most excited.
We hope you will enjoy staying in the loop about how things are with us from reading the e-news letters. As always, we appreciate your support to the mission of our law school, and we look forward to keeping working with all our partners in exploring exciting and mutually beneficial exchange and collaboration opportunities.
Have a nice summer,
