Peking University Juris Master Union, established in 2001 and instructed by Youth League Committee and Law School of Peking University, is a student council and alumni association formed by juris masters of Peking University, and it represents all juris masters of Peking University. Its purposes include: to unite all juris masters of Peking University, preserve their lawful rights and interests; to develop and integrate all items of resources both inside and outside school to provide services for the development of Juris Master Education; to build Juris Master value system, core of which is "Truth, Justice and Conscience", foster the lofty faith of law-supremacy and shape Juris Master‘s cultural tradition; to enhance Juris masters‘ legal theory awareness, assist juris masters to participate in social practice actively, endeavor to promote social nomocracy and train legal professionals meeting society‘s demand.

The Union organs include General Meeting, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Office, External Liaison Department, Academy Department, Publicity Department, Entertainment & Sports Department, and Practice Department. The chairman assumes overall responsibility for the Union.

Routine work of the Union includes:

Ⅰ. Strengthening enrolled students‘ communication with one another and promoting their contact with the alumni so as to build a platform to share working experience;

Ⅱ. Cooperating with law school to publicize juris masters in order to enhance juris masters‘ social influence;

Ⅲ. Hosting a series of lectures on academy and legal practice, like Lecture Room for Legal Masters, and branching other academic activities to enrich Juris Master‘s study and work;

Ⅳ. Contacting widely with organizations outside to provide juris masters with internship. These organizations include law offices, big enterprises, banks, courts and so on;

Ⅴ. Holding various recreational activities to enrich students‘ extracurricular life.
