The 13th Peking University Law School Talent Salon “Face-to-Face Communication with Huawei Legal Experts” was successfully held

On April 18th, 2019, the 13th Peking University Law School Talent Salon “Face-to-Face Communication with Huawei Legal Experts” was successfully held in the (Leo) Koguan Building Lecturer Hall. This Talent Salon was organized by Peking University Law School Career Development Office. Guo Li, the head of the legal support department of Huawei BG integrated business, was invited as the guest speaker. Chen Shuiming, Human Resources Director of Human Resources Department of Huawei Legal Department, Yuan Lifang, Recruitment Manager of Huawei Legal Department, Lu Jiangnan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Peking University Law School, Shi Shi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Peking University Law School, director of the Student Affairs Office, and Zhang Dongxiao, deputy director of the Student Affairs Office of Peking University Law School attended the event. The event was hosted by Guo Xingzhi, deputy director of the Career Development Office.

First of all, Miss Guo Xingzhi gave a brief introduction to the guests and the theme of this Talent Salon. Mr. Lu Jiangnan expressed his warm welcome to the guests present. At the same time, he said that Huawei, based on the forefront of the industry and the international arena, provides a broad platform for the growth of young legal persons. He hopes that students can communicate with Huawei legal experts and benefit from the planning of your academic and professional career.

Then, Guo Li, the head of Huawei's Consumer BG Integrated Business Legal Support Department, started the legal practice experience sharing session as the keynote speaker. Minister Guo has the background of law firms and foreign-funded enterprises. Since entering Huawei, he has participated in important practical cases of Huawei in many countries and regions such as Nigeria and the United States. In the context of global legal field experience, Minister Guo shared typical international litigation and arbitration cases, summed up various factors of the company's legal considerations to resolve disputes, and the design points of the dispute resolution mechanism of the company in the contract terms.

At last, Chen Shuiming, Human Resources Director of the Human Resources Department of Huawei Legal Department, further clarified Huawei's talent requirements, not only the need for good foreign language communication, but also the sound legal thinking and business concepts. He pointed out that in the context of globalization, Huawei employees always have the idea of ​​embracing the world. So he encouraged students to walk out of the comfort zone and dare to take breakthroughs and challenge with courage.

This Talent Salon was successfully concluded in a warm and interactive atmosphere.
