Pareena Srivanit, Dean of Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Thailand, Visited Peking University Law School

On March 4, 2019, Pareena Srivanit, Dean of Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Thailand, and Arm Tungnirun, Assistant Dean of Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law and our alumnus visited Peking University Law School. Pan Jianfeng, Dean of Peking University Law School, Guo Li, Secretary Party, Yang Xiaolei, Vice President, and Zhao Xiaohai, General Manager of Peking University Yinghua Technology Co., Ltd., gave them a warm welcome.

Dean Pan Jianfeng introduced the basic situation of the teaching system and curriculum of Peking University Law School. He also hoped to exchange and cooperate with Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Thailand in the future to provide a broader international platform for teachers and students.

Dean Pareena Srivanit expressed her great expectation for a comprehensive and multi-level academic cooperation with Peking University Law School and pointed out that more and more Thai students are now learning Chinese and going to the Chulalongkorn University School of Law through Chinese exams. In addition, Dean Pareena Srivanit is very much looking forward to academic exchanges between teachers at Peking University Law School and Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Thailand.

Subsequently, Dean Pareena Srivanit and her party visited the Law Library of Peking University Law School. In the quiet library, they were deeply impressed by the documentation room, the ancient books office, and the electronic reading room. They also visited Peking University Yinghua Technology Co., Ltd. to learn about its situation in terms of artificial intelligence and big data.

The visit is an important node for the exchange and cooperation between Peking University Law School and Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Thailand, and an essential step in the deepening of the internationalization process of Peking University Law School.
