The 59th Lecture of Peking University Social Law Forum Series Lecture was successfully held

At 6:40 pm on November 10, 2018, the theme of "The Challenges Faced by Labor Law and Its Responses: A Question Answering the Employment Law of College Students" and the 59th lecture of Peking University Social Law Forum Series, sponsored by the Institute of Labor Law and Social Security Law of Peking University was successfully held in Room 504 of Third Building. Lu Jingbo, chief partner and director of the Shanghai Jiang Triangle Law Firm, was the keynote speaker. Professor Ye Jingyi, director of the Institute of Labor Law and Social Security Law of Peking University, was the host. The teacher from the Peking University Career Guidance Center and the law school, the classmates of the course Social Law listened to the lecture.

First of all, Professor Ye Jingyi delivered a welcome speech. She expressed her gratitude to Mr.Lu for his arrival and briefed him. Mr. Lu gains the honor of famous lawyer in the field of labor in 2013-2018. He has extensive experience in labor, personnel and company related legal business. At the same time, he founded China's first online labor law service platform and China's first enterprise HR practical journal "Labor Law Forum ".

 

 

Subsequently, Mr.Lu gave a lecture on "the challenges faced by the labor law" and "a number of coping strategies". Regarding the challenges faced by the labor law, Mr.Lu summed up eight “too”, including “the challenge from the employer: too strict” ,“The challenge from the laborer: too wide”, “The challenge from the union: too weak” ,“From the local The challenge of the review department: too thick" ,”The challenge from the new format: too slow" ,”The challenge from the new technology: too old" ,”The challenge from the open to the outside world: too low" ,”The challenge from within the system: too complicated", Systematic analysis of the problems existing in China's labor law under the new situation. Facing new challenges, Mr.Lu believes that it can be considered from three aspects: optimizing top-level design, filling system gaps, and improving existing legislation.

 

 

Finally, around the legal problem of college students’ employment, Mr.Lu has had in-depth exchanges with the teachers and students present here. The lecture was successfully concluded in a warm atmosphere.
