PKULS and SIAC sign a memorandum of cooperation

On October 13, 2018, Peking University Law School signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC). The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of international arbitration. The law school will recommend outstanding students to participate in the SIAC internship program. SIAC will also provide teachers for the establishment of international arbitration and institutional arbitration courses for the law school. The two sides will continue to conduct joint training programs, seminars, workshops or other activities in China to promote the development of international arbitration.

Guo Li, Deputy Dean of the Law School, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ms. Lin Shuhui, CEO of SIAC. Mr. Khan Yuan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice of Singapore, Mr. Gary Born, Chairman of the SIAC Court of Arbitration, Mr. Kevin Nash, Deputy Director and Director of SIAC, and Pan Jianfeng, Dean of the Law School, Prof. Fu Yulin and A.P. Gao Wei witnessed the signing ceremony.

 

 

Before the signing ceremony, the two sides also held friendly meetings and expressed their desire to enhance cooperation and enhance the influence of international arbitration in Chinese legal education and legal practice.
