Professor Mia Rönnmar, Dean of Faculty of law, Lund University, visited Peking University Law School

On the morning of September 19, 2018, Prof. Mia Rönnmar, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Lund University, Prof. Xavier Groussot, Vice Dean and Ms. Anna Wiberg visited Peking University Law School. Prof. Xue Jun, Deputy Dean of Peking University Law School, Assistant Dean Chen Yifeng, Teacher Zhang Yali, Teacher Li Yuanyuan, Assistant Dean and Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Victor Emanuel Lars Eizyk, Interchange Student Representative of Faculty of Law, Lund University, held talks withMia Rönnmar.

 

  

 

Deputy Dean Xue Jun warmly welcomed and greeted Dean Mia Rönnmar of Faculty of Law, Lund University. He reviewed the cooperation between the two universities and exchanged views with Dean Mia Rönnmar on student exchange programs. On October 9, 2014, Peking University Law School and Lund University Law School signed a memorandum to formally establish a student exchange program. Since its inception, 11 students have participated in exchange studies (5 from Peking University Law School and 6 from Faculty of Law, Lund University). In addition, the Human Rights and Humanitarian Law Research Center of Peking University and the Raul Valenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of Lund University of Sweden have established the Master of Human Rights Law Project, which has won a good reputation in the field of human rights education in China. Xue Jun said that the cooperation between Peking University Law School and Faculty of Law, Lund University was fruitful and he hoped that the two sides would continue to work together to promote more and better projects.

Dean Mia Rönnmar was very pleased to meet with Deputy Dean Xue Jun and other colleagues from Peking University Law School, fully affirming the achievements of the bilateral cooperation projects. She said Faculty of Law, Lund University would continue to promote existing cooperation projects with Peking University Law School. At the same time, she expressed her eagerly anticipation for the project of teacher visits.

Subsequently, the two sides discussed the details of the cooperation. The talks ended in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and eventually the two sides exchanged gifts, looking forward to the lasting friendship between the two sides and closer and in-depth substantive cooperation in the future.
