The establishment ceremony of the Hong Kong Branch of PKULS Alumni Association was held

On January 14,2017, the establishment ceremony of the Hong Kong Branch of Peking University Law School Alumni Association was held in Hong Kong Happy Valley Jockey Club Albatron Club Ballroom. Ms. Liang Aishi, The Deputy Director, Basic Law Committee, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr. Yuan Guoqiang, Secretary for Justice, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Wang Zhenmin, Minister of Law, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Fang Zheng, Former Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Chairman, Ms. Huang Jiwen, Member of the CPPCC National Committee, China Health Express Foundation founder founding chairman, and Mr. Wang Guixun, Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center, Director of the Hong Kong Law Society and former President attended the ceremony.

Peking University Law School Alumni Association, Law School Dean Zhang Shouwen, Law School Alumni Association founder Zhu Qichao, Peking University Law School Alumni Association vice president, vice dean of law school Yang Xiaolei, Peking University Law School 98 undergraduate alumni, Hong Kong alumni branch president Li Ning, in addition, all levels of outstanding alumni and other more than 240 people attended the inauguration ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Huang Shanduan, Secretary General of the Hong Kong Alumni Branch.

 


Peking University Law School 98 undergraduate alumni, Hong Kong alumni branch president Mr. Li Ning made welcome speech at the ceremony, he extended a warm welcome to the leaders, guests and alumni.




Ms. Liang Aishi, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Basic Law Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Peking University Law School. She said, the establishment of the Hong Kong Alumni Association is a manifestation of the vigorous development of the legal practitioners of the Peking University, and it is also expected that the legal practitioners of the Peking University will make greater contributions to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong in the coming days.



Mr. Yuan Guoqiang, the Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, affirmed the positive contribution made by Peking University Law School to Hong Kong's legal profession. He said that Hong Kong needs people who are familiar with the law of the two places to continue to play an important role in different areas.

 

Mr. Wang Zhenmin, Minister of Legal Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, affirmed the achievements of Peking University Lawyer in Hong Kong.


 

As president of Peking University Law School Alumni Association, Prof. Zhu Qichao was sincerely happy. He said in his speech, Peking University Law School Alumni Association is growing, united more and more alumni forces, and the establishment of the Hong Kong branch, Improve the community on the Peking University law school awareness.



Deputy Director and General Manager of China Legal Services (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. Mr. Du Chun, former Director of the Ministry of Justice of the Ministry of Justice, spoke as an alumni representative. He proposed alumni to strengthen the contact, to become a strong support and warm home.



Subsequently, Peking University Law School Hong Kong alumni branch president Li Ning appointed certificate to honorary adviser, honorary legal adviser and took pictures.



At the end of the ceremony, Peking University Law School Alumni Association, Dean of Law School Professor Zhang Shouwen gave a speech, he gave a detailed introduction to the development of Peking University Law School and the work of alumni, he wants to strengthen interaction with alumni associations and brother chapters, growing and growing.



As a branch of Peking University Law School Alumni Association, the aim of the Hong Kong Alumni Club is to better serve all alumni in Hong Kong, promote the link between Hong Kong alumni and Peking University.
