On the afternoon of February 17th, Orientation Meeting of 2017 Spring Semester for International Exchange Students of Peking University Law School was held successfully in the Courtyard of PKULS. Seven international exchange students from the Americas, Europe and Asia have brought enthusiasm for the Peking University Law School, and they will open their first semester of study time at Peking University. Assistant Dean of PKULS, Director of Foreign Affairs Office Li Yuanyuan, Director of Foreign Affairs Office Mr. Yao Yueming attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, on behalf of Peking University Law School Yao yueming welcomed warmly on the arrival of the international exchange of students, and thanked them for choosing Peking University Law School. Then, Li Yuanyuan introduced the international development of Peking University Law School. Peking University Law School as the top law school has been committed to providing students with global legal education, building a world-class university law school. It has been established cooperative relations with more than 90 international law schools around the world and the developed a variety of student training models, received a number of international scholars and students to visit each year. Its rich international academic atmosphere and quality of the teaching resource broaden the international perspective to legal students. Law school is like a warm family, the arrival of international exchange students add a beautiful international color to the family. At the same time, she also hopes that each international exchange students can understand China's legal system and Chinese language and culture deeply through the platform of Peking University Law School.

Subsequently, Yao Yueming highlighted the curriculum and elective process of PKULS, and answered questions from exchange of students one by one.

In order to help students faster and better adapt to the study and life of Peking University, the College specially arranged for each exchange student as a "learning partner." The symposium shared the experiences and suggestions of the Peking University study life and the Beijing "basic necessities", and hoped that the exchange students would be able to experience the unique Chinese culture while studying.

The purpose of this conference is to help international exchange students to integrate into Peking University's learning environment as soon as possible. It will provide a guide to Peking University's life and build a bridge of friendship with Peking University students. Hope these international students can learn and enjoy life in this new semester.
