From November 26 to 27, 2016, with the theme of "Innovation and Rule of Law: Great Science, Big Data and Great Development", the 2016 Annual Conference of China Association of Science and Technology Law and the First China Enterprise Law and Intellectual Property Strategy Forum was Held in Qingdao. The meeting named the winner of the Seventh Science and Technology Law Award. Professor Zhang Ping of Law School won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the highest award of the Science and Technology Law Award.

Science and Technology Law Award is a comprehensive award approved by the National Office of Science and Technology Award, approved by the People's Republic of Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, set up by the Chinese Science and Technology Law Institute, for the National Science and Technology Law research, science and technology legal system, science and technology services, in accordance with fairness, justice and open principles for selection, and opened in the Internet. Science and Technology Law Award is divided into outstanding contribution award, outstanding achievement award and outstanding talent award three awards, among them, outstanding contribution award is the highest award.

Prof. Zhang Ping has made outstanding contributions to the field of science and technology law research in China. This award affirmed that Zhang Ping is an academic scholar who has a strong scientific spirit, a rigorous scientific spirit, a diligent study of the academic courage and a courage to innovate, close to practice and service practice.
