" Special forum on contemporary thoughts of criminal law "was successfully held in Peking University

At 18:30 on March 29, 2016, " Special forum on contemporary thoughts of criminal law " was successfully held in PKULS  (Leo) Koguan Building. It is funded by Peking University "Yang Chunxi legal education and Research Fund", sponsored by the Peking University law school, Tsinghua University  law school, Renmin University of China law school, China University of political science and Law College of criminal justice and the China Youth Political College Law School .

The lecturer was the Prof. Zhang Liqin who comes from Kaohsiung University of Taiwan. The theme is "Patients autonomy law of Taiwan province: The choice of life."Prof. Chen Xingliang and A.P. Che Hao who are from PKULS attended the forum. The forum was held by A.P. Jiang Su and it attracted a number of college students to participate.


Prof. Zhang Liqing made the patients' right of self-determination as a clue, respectively discussed the evolution of legislation and practice about the Physician's duty of informing in Taiwan province and the significance and current situation of legislation about patient autonomy.

In the first part of the lecture, Professor Zhang Liqing introduced to the audience about the Physician's duty of informing from three aspects, connotation, significance and reasons.

Subsequently, Prof. Zhang Liqing introduced the changing trajectory of the duty of informing in practice of Taiwan based on her own long-term observation of criminal judgment.

In the second part of the lecture, Prof. Zhang Liqing just introduced her own understanding and consideration about patient autonomy hospice problem, combined with the Taiwan "patient autonomy law" which was made in the end of 2015.


And then, Prof. Chen Xingliang highly appreciated Prof. Zhang Liqing because of her report and the deep research on criminal law. A.P. Che Hao also put forwarded his own views about the scope and standard of informing obligation.


Finally, A.P. Jiang Su made a summary about this lecture. And the lecture was successfully concluded in a warm and harmonious academic atmosphere.
