“Don’t forget the original intention, keep the mission in mind” The Peking University “I am at the grassroots level of the motherland” report meeting is successfully held

On the evening of December 13th, “Don’t forget your original heart and keep your mission in mind”——Peking University’s “I am at the grassroots level of the motherland” report meeting and the special training of talent salon of Law School (the second session) was successfully held in  (Leo) Koguan Building Moot Court. Yi Jun, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee’s Public Reception Office. Guo Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shangzhai Township, Luquan District, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. Gan Kaiyunand,Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Government Office. Wang Chaoyuan, deputy mayor of Hezhuangping Town, Baota District, Yanan City, Shaanxi Province, and four other alumni were the keynote speakers. Lu Jiangnan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of PKULS, Shi Shi, secretary of the Youth League Committee and director of the Student Work Office, and Zhang Dongxiao, deputy director of the Employment Guidance Office, attended the event. The event was hosted by Yang Kening, a graduate student of Law School in 2019. More than 100 law school students participated in the event.  

During the experience sharing session, the four keynote speakers introduced the experience of their grassroots work, their understanding of grassroots work, and the gains and growth of grassroots work. Yi Jun alumni believe that the grassroots are a broader platform for growth, which can broaden their horizons, learn knowledge, and comprehensively improve their personal work ability. He emphasized the importance of document writing for grassroots work, and encouraged everyone to solidify the basic skills of document writing during the schooling stage. Alumnus Guo Tao summarized the three spirits of courage at the grass-roots level: courage, strength, and grounding. He hoped that the students who are going to work at the grass-roots level will have courage, are not afraid of things, and dare to be an officer. Solve your worries; be grounded, do more research, and be happy with the people. Alumni Gan Kaiyun shared three kinds of abilities that the grassroots should possess. One is to learn to self-clear, to focus on their own shortcomings, and to learn from time to time; the second is to pursue outstanding spiritual qualities and always be a Peking University who strictly requires itself. People; the third is to always ask themselves according to the standards of Communist Party members, to establish a strong faith and firm mission. Alumni Wang Chaoyuan shared his understanding of grass-roots work. He believes that in order to do practical work and make changes in grass-roots work, it requires long-term adherence, feelings and mission, and personal pursuit in the course of doing their job.   

In the free questioning session, the four keynote speakers answered the questions that the students care about. Yi Jun made clear the high correlation between the job selection and legal profession, and encouraged everyone to apply what they have learned to practice. Guo Tao pointed out that the mentality problem is a major challenge after entering the grassroots level. He suggested that students who are interested in serving the grassroots level should be prepared to maintain a positive attitude at all times. Gan Kaiyun analyzed the personality traits that are suitable for the selection of reproductive pathways. Calmness, practicality, and hard work are important characteristics of working at the grassroots level. Wang Chaoyuan introduced the relevant situation of the candidate transfer examination. Finally, the participants took a group photo to take a picture, and the event ended successfully.

This talent salon event is an important part of the theme education of the law school, Don’t forget the original intention, keep the mission in mind. It uses the personal experience and insights of grassroots workers to paint a picture of the struggle ofI am at the grassroots level of the motherland. Through the wonderful sharing of alumni, help students to establish ideals and beliefs, guide students to repay the motherland with youthful blood, and enter the cause with patriotic enthusiasm. The successful selection and placement of special events has established a good employment information exchange platform, conveying the lofty ideals and dedication enthusiasm of the legal staff of Peking University, helping students to further clarify life choices, better realize the value of life, and strive for progress Grow up with the motherland.
