“The 4th Training Course of Foreign-related Legal Service Talents in the PKULS-Quanzhou” was successfully held

In order to further enhance lawyers' ability to handle foreign-related legal affairs, improve the level of foreign-related legal services, and enhance the content and countermeasures of legal services in the construction of the “Belt and Road”. From December 24th to December 28th, 2019, the PKULS and the Quanzhou Judicial Bureau jointly held the “PKULS-Quanzhou Fourth Training Course on Foreign Legal Service Talents”. 

On the morning of December 24th, the opening ceremony of “PKULS-Quanzhou Fourth Training Course on Foreign Legal Service Talents” was held at B103 (Leo) Koguan Building. Zhang Jiannong, Dean of the Quanzhou Lawyers Association and deputy secretary of the CPC Quanzhou Lawyers Committee, Lu Chunfeng, chief of the Public Legal Services Section of the Quanzhou Judicial Bureau, and Nian Yijia, Assistant Dean of the PKULS, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jia Weiwei, deputy director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of the School of Law.

Nian Yijia extended a warm welcome to all students on behalf of the PKULS. On behalf of the college, she welcomes students from her hometown. She pointed out that Quanzhou is an important window for cultural exchanges with Taiwan. Foreign-related legal business in China has important strategic, innovative, cutting-edge, and irreplaceable characteristics; legal practice cannot be separated from the guidance and promotion of legal research, and legal research is also inseparable. Without the support and testing of legal practice, the two are complementary and inseparable. She hopes that during the one-week training, everyone will study hard, study carefully, and communicate with teachers more, communicate and learn more. Not only will they gain gains in business skills, but they will also gain insights on the ideological and spiritual levels. President Zhang Jiannong delivered a mobilization speech. He said that a total of 80 students went to Peking University to participate in the fourth training course for foreign-related legal service personnel. The only purpose of this trip was to learn.
