Hong Kong law students' delegation to Beijing and Peking University law school face-to-face activities successfully held

On the afternoon of December 26, a delegation of Hong Kong law students organized by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council visited the PKULS to conduct face-to-face exchange activities with law students. Chen Chuang, Director of the Legal Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Wang Tong, Deputy Investigator of the Legal Assistance Division of the Legal Department of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and Lu Yuan, Director of the Legal Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region attended the event. Guo Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of the PKULS, Li Yuanyuan, Assistant Dean of the Law School and Director of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Yao Yueming, Assistant of the Office of Foreign Affairs of the Law School, Zhang Jianing, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office of the Law School, and more than 30 Hong Kong law students and Peking University Law School Students participate in activities.

First, all the students visited the law library under the guidance of the law library teacher. Peking University students introduced the library's collection of books and the borrowing process for visiting students.

 

 

Afterwards, the guests and all teachers and students had group exchanges at the King & Wood Law Student Club. The students fully discussed the similarities and differences between legal training programs, curriculum settings, learning atmosphere, and daily life between different schools in the Mainland and Hong Kong, and shared the differences in the Mainland With the working status of Hong Kong lawyers and legal personnel, some Hong Kong students also shared their feelings about participating in the summer internship project of the Circuit Court of the Supreme People's Court. After the forum and exchange activities, everyone visited the Peking University campus. The event ended in a warm atmosphere.  

 

 

The face-to-face activity of the delegation of law students from Hong Kong and the PKULS provided a valuable opportunity for communication and interaction between the students from the two places. It promoted exchanges between the two students, enhanced mutual affection, and deepened the training of legal students for the country's legal personnel The understanding is of great significance.
