On the morning of October 14, 2019, Prof. Lutz-Christian Wolff, Dean of Law School, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and A.P. Xi Chao visited our school. Professor Pan Jianfeng, Dean of PKULS, Professor Guo Li, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Assistant Director of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Li Yuanyuan, warmly received the visitors at the Guoshuang Courtyard of the Law School. Later, the two sides held in-depth talks on how the two school deepened exchanges and cooperation.
First of all, Dean Pan Jianfeng, on behalf of PKULS, expressed his warm welcome to the visitors. He believed that the cooperation between the two schools has a long history. The two schools have been devoted to promote exchanges between teachers and students. He hoped that the two sides can carry out further cooperation, including Doctoral students jointly guide projects.
Dean Lutz-Christian Wolff agreed with Dean Pan Jianfeng's proposal. He hoped to take this opportunity to conduct more in-depth and closer cooperation with PKULS in terms of mutual visits and collaborative research. Dean Lutz-Christian Wolff has a strong relationship with Peking University Law School. During his first Ph.D., he studied at the PKULS with Prof. Jia Junling on China's labor contract system. Dean Lutz-Christian Wolff also described the progress which was made in the internationalization of the law School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He emphasized that the diversity of teachers in the Hong Kong University Law School contributed a lot to achieve the "international vision" goal.
This visit has further enhanced mutual understanding and trust, which has also played a positive role in promoting academic exchanges and deepening cooperation in personnel training.
