Professor Liang Genlin, male, was born in June 1964 in Changzhou, Suzhou.In 1980, he enrolled in Peking University Faculty of Law, and got LLB, LL.M. and Juris Doctor in chronologic order. In 1997, he stayed school to work as a teacher. He worked as lecturer in 1997,associate professor in 1999 ,professor and supervisor of doctor in 2005. His doctoral dissertation called “Study on the structure of penalty”has been nominated by the First National Excellent Doctoral Dissertations and gotten “the Second Prize of Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Peking University”. He has been elected as one of the top-notch teacher in Peking University Law School. And he has won a” University Teaching and Learning Excellence Award “,and has gotten Achievement of “ the Scientific Research Award “above province level for many times, and has won “Excellent Thesis First Prize of China Law Society “for twice, and has won “First Prize in Scientific Research” for twice.In 2001, he was elected into philosophy and the social sciences “one hundred people project”. In 2003,he was supported by the ministry of education research fund for outstanding young teachers.In 2005, he won “First Prize of Teaching Award for Higher Education” and “Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement”. In 2006, he was honored as “Excellent Teacher in Beijing”.In 2007, he was chosen “Talents Support Program in New Century “of the ministry of education.
Professor Liang Genlin works as professor of Peking University Law School, chief editor of “Chinese and Foreign Law”, director of corruption-free society research center of Peking University,deputy director of Research Institute for Criminal Law Theory of Peking University,adjunct fellow of Criminal Law Science Research Institute of Beijing Normal University,specially invited researcher of Applied Law Institute in Beijing, executive director of Criminal Law Institute of China Law Society, member of the experts consulting for many procuratorates. from 1999 to 2001, he had been deputy chief procurator of People's Procuratorate in Beijing Dongcheng District in his spare time. from 2001 to 2002, he has been a visiting scholar in  University of Tubingen in Germany. from 2002 to 2004, he had been vice secretary of party committee of Peking University Law School. from 2004 to 2007,vice president of Peking University Law School.
