Ruoying Chen is Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Peking University Law School, and Program Affiliate Scholar at the Classical Liberal Institute at NYU Law School (2017-2018). She's Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Law School, the Buchmann Faculty of Law of Tel Aviv University and Koç University Law School. She holds law degrees from Peking University, Oxford University and the University of Chicago Law School and was admitted to the New York Bar. Previously, she worked for international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in its Beijing and Hong Kong offices for over 5 years on M&As, capital market work and restructuring of China's state-owned enterprises.
