Research Fellow Li Honghai, Legal History


 

Dr. Li Honghai, a research fellow of Peking University Law School, is mainly devoted in the study of English legal history (particularly 12-13 centuries) and common law jurisprudence. He has been an academic visitor of the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge, under the supervison of Prof. Sir J. H. Baker during the academic year of 2005-2006. His publication includes An Historical Interpretation of the English Common Law (Tsinghua University Press, 2003); also he translated Prof. van Caengem's The Birth of the English Common Law, Prof. Paul Brand's The Origins of the English Legal Profession, Maitland's Constitutional History of England, and took part in the translation of Prof. Sir J. Holt's Magna Carta.
