The Zhuoya Legal Forum “The Fiscal and Taxation Reform and Governance in the Rule of Law ”

On the afternoon of Feb. 22nd, 2014, the second session of Zhuoya forum held successfully in the lecture hall of KoGuan Building, Peking University. Beijing Zhuoya Economic and Social Development Research Center, and China's Fiscal and Taxation Law Institute hosted the forum. Beijing King &Wood Law Firm and Beijing M&T Law Firm were co-organizers. The theme of the forum was “The Fiscal and Taxation Reform and Governance in the Rule of Law Perspective”. Its purpose was to answer the questions of fiscal and taxation reform concerned by society currently and provide new ideas for deepening reform.
At first, the host of forum,Professor Liu Jianwen, President of China's Fiscal and Taxation Law Institute, introduced the guests attended there and the process of the forum that day. He also introduced the purpose and backgrounds of holding the forum.
Then several experts talked about the topic“the Basic Effect of the Fiscal and Tax Law in the View of National Governance” from different angles. After that, it went into the discussion part of the topic “Tax System Reform and the Taxpayer Right Protection in the Rulw of Law Perspective”. At last, Vice-chairman of China's Fiscal and Taxation Law Institute, Professor Zhang Wenxian gave the closing speech.
